Day 1: Successful, I think, but really who knows!

Potty Training Child #4

I have procrastinated this for a year now. Grace was my first to show signs of wanting to be potty trained, but a year ago I just couldn't. Since we've moved I tried a couple times last year and this is my second attempt this year. Those attempts I thought because she was ready a year ago it would be easy but I was definately wrong. I think she reverted and got so comfortable that it is harder than ever. I hate potty training and the thing I hate most is that it is so different for each of my kids so I know I'm not going to know how to plan it until we are in the middle of it. So after telling myself for weeks that this was the week. I woke up today and before it was too late remembered today is the day. Why I've procrastinated is because Grace has amazing bladder control. It will be great later on, but it is not great while training. After two hours on and off with me watching her every move she finally went pee and got a new doll that she was very excited about. Hopefully tomorrow we'll get the other. But it was a successful day. She only had one tiny mess when I was tickling her, and she was able to hold it and the rest got in the bowl. Yeah! Absolutely nothing else got done today. I've never had to totally devote all my time to it, but it's either she is too stubborn or I just missed the right time for her. Hopefully doing it this way she'll figure things out quickly so I don't go crazy, because I am so done with buying diapers!
